About Küren

küren means ”the sky” and ”the Lotus” in Japanese,

The sky reflects the beautiful nature of Ishigaki, while the lotus represents the serenity we hope to share with our guests.

Immersed in nature, enjoying the calm of our houses, discovering the treasures of Ishigaki, and taking part in our retreats and activities, we hope you can step away from everyday life, reconnect with yourself and with others, gain a new perspective, and return home feeling renewed.

Whether you come for a retreat or simply for a holiday, whether you stay at Le Lotus Bleu or La Terrasse Kookai, what we wish to offer every guest is the opportunity to connect with the beauty of Ishigaki and, through it, reconnect with themselves.

Some may be drawn to beaches and sunshine, diving, snorkeling, or trekking in the jungle. Others may be looking for yoga, massages, and time to rest.

We are happy to help you organize your stay or your retreat, tailored to your needs.

We see our houses as welcoming spaces that offer shelter and a beautiful setting for your experiences.

About Us

Maiko

I have been questioning how people could live more abundantly and happily.

After wandering around to find the answer

 for a long time,

I finally found  miraculous houses on Ishigaki Island, where the natural power of the blue earth overflows and spills over.

They are Le Lotus Bleu and La Terrasse Kookai.

These two houses have been a place of exploration and practice for me.

I open them up to the people who visit.

in order to think, talk, cry and laugh together.

I want to live a pure, simple life.

May all living beings and all that exists in the universe be enveloped in love and harmony.

We look forward to meeting you all.

First time i came to Ishigaki, to visit the old house unhabited for years that would become later  Le Lotus Bleu, i felt we found the place we've been looking for, after years working  in big companies in Paris and Tokyo, finally a place to build a life at our rythm, based on our values.

we live in a crazy world, we lost sight of priorities, we are destroying the nature and prioritize money over our life.

i don't have the ambition to change the world, but what we try to do here is to give to our guests opportunities to put things in perspective, through immersion in a beautiful environment,  a different culture, and through yoga.

i started yoga about 10 years ago and it took an important place in my life, i'm still learning and i try to share what i've learn at Le lotus bleu.
